Contractors Grassroots Network

Building Tomorrow Through The Legislative Process
The CGN consists of ACA members who will convey to their legislators the association's position on key issues affecting the construction industry. CGN members express to elected officials our questions, concerns and opinions on legislation that may effect the construction industry. CGN members are furnished with the necessary information to effectively communicate with their district legislators. ACA's has added a new online tool to assist CGN participants.  CapWiz™ is an online suite of tools that, combined with the data provided by the Capitol Advantage research team, allows users to identify, learn about, and contact elected officials at the federal, state and local levels. First launched in 1996, CapWiz is easily customized to perfectly integrate with any existing Web site. Nearly one thousand associations, organizations, and media organizations help users "connect and be counted", including The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, AARP, Shell Oil, Cigna, AOL, Yahoo!, CNN, USA Today and MSN.  The CapWiz tool is available in the Members Only section of this site and is located on the Contractors Grassroots Network Page.  From time to time, CGN members will be asked to visit the Arizona State Capitol and assist with lobbying efforts.

Arizona Contractors Association Political Action Committee (ACAPAC)
“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.” – Plato

The ACAPAC is a mechanism for like-minded individuals to pool their resources and magnify their influence. The decisions of Arizona elected officials affect your business, you and your family. Do you want to have some input on who is elected and show your support of those candidates who are sensitive to your business concerns and those of the construction industry?

ACAPAC is a “state only” political action committee with no involvement in federal elections.  The ACAPAC is an effective component of the overall ACA Governmental Affairs Program, which includes the Contractors Grassroots Network, Capwiz Online Advocacy Tool, ACA Lobbying and the ACA Governmental Affairs Committee.

A personal contribution may be made directly to the ACAPAC.  Please note that corporate contributions in Arizona are unlawful; therefore, the ACAPAC can only accept personal checks. Please provide a check that includes the individual’s employer, occupation and mailing address.  This information is required by law and is used for reporting purposes.  Please send your contribution and suggestions to ACAPAC, 3033 N. Central Ave., Suite 810, Phoenix, AZ 85012.  Click here to download brochure.

Jobsite Theft Prevention Program
With the support of long-time member Anderson Security Agency, Ltd., ACA began a jobsite theft prevention campaign in May 2002, designed to encourage public participation by rewarding efforts of observance and action of reporting. This new program allows members who voluntarily sign up for the program to agree to pay a $2,000 reward to anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons stealing from said member’s jobsite.

The reward signs, provided and posted at the jobsite by Anderson Security Agency, Ltd., display contact information for Anderson Security Agency, Ltd., and the ACA. Once a report is made, the information will be forwarded to the proper authorities by Anderson Security Agency, Ltd., and the ACA will document the informant’s name and number in the event the information leads to an arrest and a conviction. The member firm will reward the informant. This is strictly a volunteer program and the member company can withdraw from the program at any time. Signs can be posted on a project-by-project basis with a written request to ACA.  Sign-Up Now!
